  • How to: Change the 3.4L Oil sending Unit

First thing you have to do is get the car up (I used car ramps), then get under the car. I had to change the oil in the car anyways, so I drained all the oil out. The Sending unit is right beside the driver side header.

    1. Pull the duck tape back off of the sending unit.

    2. Unscrew the sending unit from the block.

    3. Unplug the sending unit from the harness.

    4. Take new unit and plug into the harness.

    5. Screw unit back into the block until it is tight.

    6. Pull duck tape back over unit.

    7. Done.

I'll get pictures of the sending unit and its place this weekend.
