    I should be able to do this stuff, but I can't find my notes. I'll keep looking, but currently, i forgot the formulas for the pivot points and such. As you can see, i started the first one and wasn't sure what came next.. TIA

    Sorry dude. If this was calculus, I could help you out I haven't polished my physics in a while though.

        Re: A little physics help?

        I feel like the first one should be very easy, so let me go off the crappy (possibly inaccurate) notes in my head. It's basically just distance x force right? So it's just (92,000,000 x 1.32x10^25)/200 (assuming the guy weighs 200lbs).. so 1.22x10^33 miles......right?

              Strength =/= toughness.

                  Re: A little physics help?

                  Moments are easy. Just have one counter the other so there is no rotation.

                  1 A:
                  1.32x10^15lbs * 92,000,000meters = (his weight, don't see it given) * distance he must stand

                  1 B: 21Kg * 3.2m = T *0.6m

                  Just set the problems up, then use your algebra knowledge to solve for the unknown.

                  For problems two and four you're going to have to use Sin/Cos/Tan equations to find your distances.

                  I'm not going to do your work for you.

                    Almost forgot, pay attention to units and don't get meters mixed up with miles or anything like that.

                    For problem 3 just use the center of the beam for the center of mass.

                        The answers are ...... C ....... to all of them

                        That reminds me of that commercial where the guy had C for all his answers on that test
