Hey all... We'll I just got moved into my new apartment in toledo a week ago (i'll post pics of it later). Anyways, i'm looking for a new pet to have in here. My whole life i've had pets and i hate not having one in the room. My cockatiel and parakeet are at home with my parents, since im not allowed to have those here.
I've been thinking about getting a snake, i had a few growing up, mostly garter snakes and a milk snake, and I still have most of the equipment I need.
I have a 20 gallon tank, under tank heater, a light source, thermometer, and some climbing branches. All i need is some turf for substrate and 2 hiding places.
Anyways, im debating between a milk snake and a ball python. Price is a big concideration. The ball being about 80 bucks and the milks around 30-40 bucks. Feeding should be about the same for both of them. I like the idea of a ball python because they seem more docile and better to handle. I just dont see many people holding a milk snake like they can with pythons. I want to be able to take it out of its tank and hold it and show people and stuff.
Any considerations?
