• Search engine gives out everyone's address!

Talk about lack of privacy! I just heard this stuff on the KRON 4 news, and it makes me  .

    There's a new search engine called http://www.Zabasearch.com

You just type in a first name and last name and then you get a list of people, their names, home addresses, birth year (sometimes birth month as well), phone number, and if you want to do a background check, all it cost is $20.

This makes it so easy for an identity theif to steal an identity. This F-ing sux.

I'm going to try to get my info removed from Zabasearch. It aught to be against the law to have information available to others so easily(even if it is considered "public" information).

So for everyone who has time, go ahead and search for yourself on Zabasearch. I'll bet that about 80% or more of you out there will also have your names, addresses, birth year, and phone numbers listed for the world to see.

What I'd like to do to the founders of Zabasearch:

There's nothing new about that. You've been able to do that for the last 8-10 years.

It's not just that page, there's hundreds of them out there. If you're scared of stuff like that, I'd suggest you stay off the internet. ;)

It's all public information anyways. You can go down to the court house and get the same stuff.

It's like a stalker's paradise! It has instant links to mapquest for the address, and also a satellite aerial photo.

What\'s her last name? I\'ll look it up.
You know I don\'t recall. Swim, Swammy, Slippy, Slappy, Simmons, Sommons, Swenson, Swanson?
Maybe it\'s on the briefcase.
Oh yeah! It\'s right here, Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S though!

                      OHHH HAHAHA ^^^^

But yeah I can get anyones BD, address, telephone #, and most of the time can find a social on someone too at the court house.

Alot of mortgage companies will include SS# in mortgage papers which are recorded in court house for public records. So there I have SS#, address, full legal name, every thing I'd need to steal your identity, If I were a theft.

And now alot of counties are putting there property/deed/mortgage records online!! So anyone, anywhere can get your info.

As far as online directories goes:
                      http://people.yahoo.com/
                      http://www.anywho.com/ -- the best!!

I use these sites for finding/locating landowners, but I can see how easily it can be to gain access to peoples info. If the oil & gas field ever goes out of buisness, lol (like that would every happen) but if it did it would be so easy to do identity theft.

I couldn't find myself, but pretty much my whole family is on there. My grandma has like 4 addresses in their system, shes been like all over the state in the last few years haha. That's crazy.

these are all public records. You could get this same info with just a little work. All this site does is let you stay lazy.

There are sites that will get you everything, from bank accounts to relationships. You pay for those, of course.
