Finally did it - I sold my Firebird

I sold my 2000 Firebird after 18 years and 260,000 miles. It is a great car, but it is time to let it go. A college student is buying it. I sincerely hope he has as much fun with it as I did. I am going to advise him that if he wants to raise some money after buying the car, he can sell the W68 ground effects, the Whisper Lid, the shock tower brace or the Weathershield car cover. I will let him know about this forum. If anyone is interested in those items, please let me know. Oh, and he might consider selling the T-top inserts - STILL PROUDLY NEVER USED!!!!

The car is still is in pretty good shape and still is shiny - very good testament GM's clear coat after 18 years in the Florida sun.

I'e had mine for 20 years and 29 years for the 2.8 v6. I'll be buried with it. I've had newer cars but nothing beats being inside an fbody.

I've had so many people offer me to buy them, but I have a feeling they'll just trash it.

OK; it is official. Title signed over to the new owner. Unused T-top shades :woot:delivered to the new owner. Weather Shield car cover and box of spare parts delivered to the new owner - including my "Home Depot Lid" from before I bought a Whisper Lid. New owner left for Texas on Saturday...:cry:
