  • Long Term Storage Tips...

Looks like the Camaro is going to get shelved for a couple years until Eve turns 16. I think I'm going to run it out of gas and put in on blocks and put it in the corner of the garage and cover it with painters plastic. It literally got driven about 15 miles this year, detailed twice - about the same as last year.

    Eve is 5 btw...

    Any recommendations welcomed

Here in Nevada in a couple more years mine would qualify for classic car registration, which means no more smog and less pay for registration.

Ya I would look into classifying it as a hotrod or classic car if you can...that's what I did, costs a fraction to have it on the road that way....then try and take it to work maybe once every 2 weeks or once a week in the summer and you'll enjoy it and keep it running...better than putting it in a corner in my opinion

Call Grundy - if you can keep it in a garage overnight, and have a daily driver, they will insure with "agreed value" for replacement. My Firebird is insured with them - $275 per year.

Yeah, Grundy wouldn't do mine because I don't have a garage, Hagerty will since its a 3 sided carport. Once I get everything done I'll insure it with Hagerty. Right now with state farm if I drive it less than 5,000 miles a year they give you more of a discount, I think I pay $25 a month that's for full coverge, roadside service and full glass.
