Yes, the smart car goes back - its lease is up.

I shall miss you little smart!

Best gas mileage - 49 mpg
Made numerous runs to BJ's with it, Stuffed 3 tires in it, bags of salt for the water softener etc.
Hit a top speed of 96 (even though it is rated to 90)
The 70 HP 1.0 L 3 cylinder for the most part had enough power - there were only a handful of times I was pissed that it didn't have enough power.

Thats my smart with my 2013 twin turbo SL550 ;)

I replace it with a 2012 C250 Sedan next week.

There is a part of me that still wants another one....to buy.... to stuff a hyabusa engine in it.

I saw the Smart Car in Holland in 2001 in Amsterdam...many people had them...they are essentially unchanged. America is a glutton for gas.
However, it should be noted that all the talking heads on FoxNews
said gas was definately going to 6 or 8 dollars a gallon. Saw it at 2.99 today..Looks like the prediction was WRONG AGAIN. When is last times those talking heads were right about anything?

Gas is on the way up... no one can deny that. Higher demands and lower quantities mean higher prices. Lower production numbers if demand goes down and then the price goes up - it is a catch 22.

96 mph???? must have been downhill haha

          That SL is niceee

I have seen those smart cars all over in europe... They always reminded me of a little box on wheels, a portable coffin or what have you:)

96mph... I'm surprise it didn't so cartwheels at that speed. You're better off not driving that thing.
