Finally Owned a Tiburon GT V6

ok me and my friend were cruising around (my friend who has the tiburon i cant seem to beat) and this guy pulls up next to me with his buddy with a Tiburon GT...so we started talking to him and asked for his mods and he said exhaust, AEM cold air intake, P & P intake manifold and some other odds and ends. I asked him if he wanted to run because i havent ran a tiburon from a dead stop yet so he agreed... we came up to a light and when it turned green we went...i got a perfect launch and jumped ahead about 1/2 a car length. Well when i was still in first and hit about 3000 RPMS i started spinning and broke sideways...i spun for prolly about 20 feet and i still ended up beating him. He thought it was a V8 after cause the spinning and i have headers now so it sounds like one. It was awesome...his friend rolls down the window and goes "your smart your in a chevy" and i just laughed and said later

finally you got him good kill, when i was with a girl that had a gt car we went at it all the time i even drove the gt while my good friend drove mines it went both ways. more times though i got from the jump.( we were both stock)

Nice, my friend wants to buy a new tiburon gt next year he plans, he wants to race me soo bad, does he realize I'm going to just kill him?

He plans on leaving it very very factory till the warranty runs out, cause he is scared it might void it out rofl.....

So I figure it should be a no brainer..

But with a few add-ons I hear they can get pretty amazing gains.

i wouldnt count on it nikos. they may not look like much but they are pretty quick little cars. dont be surprised if he beats you.

if his is a GT v6...i wouldnt even line up with him...i have 3.73's, posi, Pacesetter headers, magnaflow catback and K and N cold air intake and some SLP o2 sensor components....i can walk one but slowly untill a certain point...mines a 3.8 and i had a 3.4 when my friend still had his gt v6 tiburon...i lined my 3.4 up with it and it wasnt even a fair race...he smoked the **** out of me

Well I have a CAI now, getting my exhaust system done in a week or two, ignition system, heads, tune, 3:73s, and an eaton posi... Maybe by the time he has his I might have a turbo or super done also, but being I'm not extremely knowledgable about them, that could take a little work and reading before I finish it.
